Cookie policy
directcases.com is the online shop of RR Commerce Europe B.V., Pieter Goedkoopweg 22, 2031 EL Haarlem, the Netherlands. Like most online shops, we use cookies and similar techniques, such as local storage in your browser and tags (small pieces of code from us or from partners). This policy explains which ones we use, why, and how you decide which ones we may use.
Last updated: 13 October 2026.
Your choice in our cookie banner
On your first visit you see our cookie banner. It has three buttons:
Necessary only: we only use the cookies the shop needs to work. No statistics cookies and no marketing cookies.
Settings: you choose whether we may use marketing cookies. Cookies needed for the shop are always on. Your choice is saved as one switch: if you switch marketing cookies on here, it counts as Accept all, so you also allow statistics cookies.
Accept all: you also allow statistics cookies and marketing cookies.
We save your choice in a cookie called consent for 365 days, so we do not ask again on every page. After 365 days we ask you again. You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time with the button below. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent, and it does not affect anything we did with your consent before.
Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode in its advanced form. Before you make a choice, and after Necessary only, our Google tags receive the signal that statistics cookies, advertising cookies, sharing data for advertising and personalised advertising are not allowed. Google Analytics and Google Ads then still receive cookieless signals, for example that a page was viewed, but no cookies are stored or read for this. The tags wait up to one second for your choice. Only after you choose Accept all do Google's tags store and read statistics and advertising cookies.
The rules we follow
For cookies that are not strictly necessary for the shop, we ask for your consent first. For visitors in Ireland, this rule comes from Regulation 5 of the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 336 of 2011). The Data Protection Commission supervises it. If you visit us from another EU country, the cookie rules of that country protect you in the same way.
Which cookies and similar techniques we use
Cookies needed for the shop (always active)
These cookies make the shop work. They keep your shopping cart and your session, protect forms against misuse, remember your language and store, and save your cookie choice. These techniques also always run:
Cloudflare Turnstile on our newsletter form, to check that a person and not a bot fills it in.
New Relic browser monitoring, to measure how fast our pages load and to find technical errors.
The cookieless signals to Google described above under Google Consent Mode.
Visitor ID of our tagging server (always set)
Our own tagging server (Stape) passes data from our shop to analytics and advertising services. On every page it places the cookie _sbp. This cookie contains a random visitor ID with which the tagging server recognises your browser. We set it regardless of your choice in the cookie banner, so also when you choose Necessary only. The cookie stays for up to 400 days, unless you delete it in your browser earlier.
Statistics cookies (only after Accept all)
With statistics cookies we see which pages work well and where visitors get stuck, so we can improve the shop. We use Google Analytics for this, through our own tagging server on our own domain, and our own analytics, which gives your browser an anonymous visitor ID. We only set these cookies after you choose Accept all.
Test cookies (only while a test runs)
Sometimes we test two versions of part of our shop, for example a different button or a different order of steps. Only while such a test runs, and only after you choose Accept all, your browser gets a random number in the cookie rrc_ab_id. That way you see the same version throughout the test, and we can measure which version leads to more orders. The number contains no name or contact details. We do link it to an order you place, to measure the result of the test. The cookie expires after 60 days. We delete test data no later than 12 months after a test ends. Without your consent you always see the standard version and we store nothing.
Marketing cookies (only after Accept all)
We only use these cookies if you choose Accept all. With them we measure which ads lead to visits and orders, show you ads on other websites and apps that match your interests, and avoid showing you the same ad again and again. We use:
Google Ads (including Google's advertising network DoubleClick);
Meta (Facebook and Instagram), also through our own tagging server, which sends coded (hashed) customer data to Meta to link orders to ads;
ProfitMetrics, to link orders to the ad or website you came from and measure advertising results.
Trusted Shops review widget
When we show reviews of directcases.com from Trusted Shops on our shop, your browser connects to Trusted Shops to load them. Trusted Shops then receives technical data, such as your IP address, the date and time and your browser details. According to Trusted Shops, the IP address is anonymised straight after it is collected.
Cookies of other companies
For the cookies other companies place and the data they collect with them, please read their own statements. They can change these statements at any time; directcases.com has no influence on that.
